We’ve all heard that food impacts mood. On April 1, CCPHP Members had the pleasure of listening to renowned psychiatrist and “Kale Evangelist”, Dr. Drew Ramsey, present on how the way we eat, the way we farm, and the way we connect has drastically shifted and the impact that has had on our mental health. Members learned about Ramsey’s research on foods that provide natural “antidepressant nutrients”, such as iron, zinc, magnesium, omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA), and vitamins A, C, B1, B6 and B12.

Further, Ramsey stressed that what we cook for our family and friends is one of our most powerful weapons to help build a better brain (and prevent mental illness!)
